Instance Management
An instance is a server process managed by the panel, including its server files, world saves and configuration.
Creating an instance
- Open Instances and click New instance.
- Select the server directory.
- Enter the name, memory limit and launch arguments.
- Choose whether to start it immediately.
The panel creates a working directory and port configuration for each instance. Multiple instances can run in parallel.
Importing an instance
Existing server directories can be imported:
- Click Import instance and select the directory.
- The panel detects
Worlds, configuration files and plugin directories. - Confirm; the instance appears in the list and existing saves remain untouched.
Importing does not modify server files; it only registers the path and launch settings.
Start and stop
| Action | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Start | The daemon launches the server process |
| Stop | Sends a graceful shutdown signal and waits for saves |
| Restart | Stop, then start again |
| Force stop | Use only when the process is unresponsive; unsaved data may be lost |
The daemon monitors instance processes, logs abnormal exits and restarts them according to policy.
Console
The console page allows you to:
- Send server commands and read output.
- Review history and errors.
- Copy log content for troubleshooting.
Command permissions follow the signed-in user's instance permissions.
Configuration
Common settings include:
- Launch arguments, working directory and environment variables.
- Memory limits.
- Automatic restart policy and delay.
- Display name and grouping.
Changes require an instance restart.
Backups
- Manual backup: archive the instance directory immediately.
- Scheduled backup: run hourly or daily with retention limits.
- Restore: restore a chosen archive into an instance; the instance is stopped first.
Backups are stored in backups/. Copy them to another disk or object storage regularly.
File management
The instance file browser supports:
- Viewing, uploading, downloading, renaming and deleting.
- Editing text configuration files online.
- Inspecting file size and modification time.
Stop the instance before modifying files that are actively used by the server.
Deleting an instance
Deleting removes the instance from the panel configuration. The disk directory is kept by default; select the option to delete files if needed. Deletion cannot be undone.
